This client fell in love with my hand-tufted rugs during the Patendoyart is Everything exhibition and requested two for her earthy bedroom space. I immediately knew I would incorporate warm greens and browns within the motif, and she was thrilled with my reversed concept where the two rugs mirror each other—one featuring brown lines with green fill, the other green lines with brown fill. The complementary pair creates a harmonious balance while maintaining visual interest through subtle contrast. Each rug required approximately thirty hours of craftsmanship, resulting in an installation that transformed her bedroom into a cohesive sanctuary where the pieces serve as both functional elements and artistic focal points. The client was particularly delighted by how the organic patterns echo the natural elements she had thoughtfully incorporated throughout her home.
