Art and Expression, February 2025

I experienced synchronicity in a big way with this one.

I joined a group reading The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron in January 2025 and a huge concept it explores is synchronicity – the idea that seemingly unrelated events happen at the same time and have a meaningful connection. Part of the process involves taking yourself on an "artist date" once a week, and it was during a pottery social that I experienced synchronicity firsthand, meeting the person who would help bring my workshop vision to life.

While I had dreamed of hosting a painting workshop in the sanctuary of my studio since Paint and Party Barcelona, my overwhelming schedule made it seem impossible. Then enters this firecracker I met at Bread and Butter Lounge, who not only motivated me but managed all the administrative tasks I had been avoiding.

The result was a beautifully intimate experience shared among people seeking creative release. The atmosphere balanced calm reflection with laughter and lighthearted banter. Watching participants freely express whatever their hearts desired on canvas was profoundly satisfying—a testament to how powerful it can be when longterm visions finally materialise through unexpected connections and collaborative energy.
