The African Leadership Centre (ALC) invited me to their second student-led event of the year commemorating Black History Month at King’s College London.
This event sought to honour Black artists in the UK by creating a platform for us to showcase our work and engage with King’s students and faculty. This was my first time on a panel of any kind and I felt extremely privileged to share the panel with so many talented artists. We discussed distinct challenges and achievements in our careers fostering a deeper understanding of how our personal experiences influence our art and narratives.Moderated by Kamila Atta, Associate Fellow MSc Global Leadership & Peacebuilding, this discussion revealed that my struggles were shared by many and offered valuable insights for navigating them effectively.
